Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946 into a very humble family of 12 children later on, realized early that she could get away from suffering through her creative mind. Before she was able to write and read, she began to compose her own music. Once she had her first guitar at the age 8, she started to perform on radio stations in Knoxville in Tennessee. That following year, she made her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. In high school She made her mark locally but dreamed about an even bigger stage. The day she graduated from the high school in 1964. Her first charting records for Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host at the time was searching for a female singer on his show. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing to RCA Records. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974, when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton wrote "I Will Always Love You" for Wagoner just after the pair split.
