Ariel Tweto, of Native American heritage was born to Jim Tweto in Unalakleet Alaska USA on December 14, 1987. At birth she was given the name Ariel Eva Tuadraq-Atauchaq Tweto. Alya, her sister is too a Tweto. They met while her father was playing professional hockey in Alaska trying to attract more interest in the sport. Era Alaska was founded by her parents after she fell in love with him. Ariel and Alya were born in Nome, Alaska. She attended Emerson College before graduating from Chapman University. Ariel was able to begin her acting career at a young age. She appeared in Wipeout. Ariel was famous due to the episode where she inquired about a picture she couldn't see, yet she was directly in front of her. The interest of the public for this girl's story inspired the producers to reach out to the Tweto family about doing an actual series about their lives in the Alaskan wilderness. Jim the father of her daughter is sceptical but agrees to allow the camera roll inside his office. As a bush pilot he still runs his aviation company called Era Alaska. Flying Wild Alaska on Discovery Channel became a hit instantly because it brought to light all the challenges Twetos face when managing their aviation business. It's exciting to witness Americans living in a wilderness-like setting. People who love the Twetos are able to celebrate victories together and share the pain of losing. With Jim sitting in the pilot's seat, and his wife Ferno taking care of matters on the ground, the family is never short of action. Ariel is a joy to be around when it comes to all of this. With Ariel's parents Jim and Ferno both pilots it's only natural that Ariel began to take an interest in flying from an early stage of her life. Flying Alaska 2011-2012 follows Ariel as she makes her way towards becoming a pilot. The month of April, 2012 was when she earned her license. She takes charge of running her family's business when her father retires. One of the major problems facing the majority of Alaskans has to do with the high rates of suicide in teenagers, which can be at least seven times the national average. Ariel became inspired by this to create an organization called Popping Bubbles. In this charity, she goes to the youth and school forums in order to inform students the importance of being able to pursue your dreams and live every moment to the fullest, rather than give in to depression.
