In the new millennium, Selleck starred in a variety of TV movies that included the Jesse Stone series, in which the actor played the role of a New England police chief. The actor received yet another Emmy nomination for the role and also served as director of the films. Selleck also plays the role of a police commissioner that is part of a family of multigenerational of police officers in the drama Blue Bloods which premiered on CBS in 2010.Selleck was eventually able to make his way to the big screen. Along with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg, he was part of Three Men and a Baby that was a massively entertaining comedy. It was the top-grossing film ever.
