Kathrin Romany Beckinsale was born 26 July 1973. She is an English model, actress and singer. After some minor television roles, her debut film was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) while she was a student at the University of Oxford. Beckinsale appeared in British costume dramas , such as Prince of Jutland (1994), Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997) (a contemporary romantic comedy) and The Golden Bowl (2000), in addition to various broadcast and stage productions. In the mid 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in the United States. After appearing in smaller-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), Beckinsale starred in Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001) and Tiptoes (2003). She followed those with starring parts in The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). She was a star in Hollywood with roles in the films The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). In addition, she has appeared in smaller dramas like Snow Angels (2007) and Nothing but the Truth (2008). In the first two films, she received positive reviews. She was nominated for Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Actress In the Comedy Love & Friendship in 2016. Jolt (2021) was her second film. She has also appeared in two TV shows featuring Jolt (2021) and The Widow (202019).
