Selena Marie Gomez (/s@/li:n@/ 'goUmez/s@–LEE-n@/ GOH-mez on July 22, 1992) was an American singer, actress and producer. Gomez's acting debut was with the children's TV series Barney & Friends (1902-2004). In her teens, she made her name known by playing Alex Russo on the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012). Gomez was also a part of several films, including Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2010). She also starred in Ramona and Beezus (2010) as well as Spring Breakers (2012). She also voice actor on Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (2012-2022). Gomez was the executive producer of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020), and Undocumented (2018). Undocumented (2018) through July Moon Productions. Gomez is also the executive producer and stars in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + chef (2020-2022) and the Hulu comedy show Only Murders in the Building (21-21). It was certified platinum by RIAA and produced three top ten songs in the US: "Good for You" as well as "Same Old Lovin" as well as "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020) the singer's third studio album was her third consecutive top 10 album in the US. The album's lead track, "Lose You, to Love Me", was also her first top-ten hit in the US.
